Apart from meeting local requirements, Madhya Pradesh exports a variety of
products and services to both developed and developing countries. The details of
exports of products surveyed by IIFT which do not include iron, steel, cotton

Exports indicated in the above table covering 22 products valued at Rs.2,927
crore, represent around 75 per cent of the total exports from the State. It may
be seen that soybean extractions, contributing 44 per cent of the total exports,
dominate the external sector of the State.
Export from the State which is currently valued at Rs.4,000 crore is expected to
touch Rs. 14,000 crore by 2005-2006 is given below :
